Big mistake on the Italian/French map

The island of Corsica is part of France and not Italy .... This might confuse a lot of people (I had both maps loaded on my phone before my trip so I was ok) Anyway, Thanks for this application, it is a very good out of band GPS application !

navmii in bella italia

Thx to this great app. It was our friend in italy to find places innercity and in small towns in tuscany and milano!!!

Amazing GPS map app for Italy

Just used this app to navigate around Italy. NAV is an amazing app that was spot on for accuracy. I used it for a number of small rural as well as big city locations & it did the job every time. Navigated thru 20 traffic circles/roundabouts in one city with very easy to follow directions based on actual location & when/where to turn e.g. "take the 2nd exit in the roundabout" approach. Best of all, used the Dual XGPS150A satellite receiver on my iPhone. Saves data charges. Highly recommend this app

Excellent!

Flawless nav program took us all over southern Italy in June. Gives directions by voice, has good graphics of roads, finds locations, shows speed and time of arrival (for routes). There is a walking component which isnt so great, as it doesnt consider pedestrian-only routes, it is basically the car version at walking speed. amazing that it is free! My buddy bought one for his iPhone for $30, wasnt noticeably better, if at all.

Just as good as a GPS

Well, Im officially impressed. I downloaded this app so I wouldnt have to buy a GPS (since Ive been told that driving in Italy is notoriously difficult without one). Downloading the maps is a snap (but not instantaneous). The HUD add-in is a superb touch. I particularly like the safety camera location add-in: nice to know where the photo-radar is going to be up ahead. I think a really nice update to the app would be the possibility of setting up a chain of locations to drive to, i.e. leave from Rome, go to Naples, then to Florence. It would give a good idea of total driving time

Problem

Updateee!!!! App can not start, closing itself during openening... Needs update urgently... Iphone 4s

Great!

I used this app in my italy tour and it helped me so much to drive in every street easy. It should be the best navigation app for phones..

Super!

The voice of Steven Fry add to my journey sophistication :)

Great app!

Helped me very much in Italy.

Maps and roads calculation

need to update search results.. Because it has very limited search results. Maps are very old. Some roads are not on map wgich are 10 nearby 10 year old. Road calculation is not good.

Great

Product works great. Better than a shop bought dedicated gps

Very handy app for my trip to Italy.

I recently took a trip around Italy and Navmii: Italy was a great tool that really helped us get around. I didnt have cell service there so Navmii was perfect since you just download the country maps and use the GPS location services to get around. I found it most useful in the cities and towns but be warned that if youre driving, like we did, some of the very small roads may not be included in these maps. I had compared their navigation with google maps prior to my trip and figured out the difference but otherwise it worked great and I depended on it more than my own GPS which I brought with me.

Maps that used to be free are now paid

While the country maps were free, paying 1.99 to get rid of the ads seemed ok, as the interface is not very good, search without Google is quite limited and the directions less than perfect. As it asks now for 2.99 per country, on top of the removal of ads, there are much better versions available.

Performed flawlessly...

Bought TomTom Go for a recent trip to Italy for 20.00 USD and was disappointed in the archaic user interface. I downloaded the free navmii Italy and was surprised at how good it performed during my trip. Drove from south of Naples to Milan with multiple stops without a single issue. This is a must have app for off-line navigation.

Its free

It works, missing many streets and house numbers but it beats having nothing

You get what you pay for

Free means "hope you have plenty of "Free" time to be lost because youre going to need it. Buy a Mobile wifi from TIM if your phone doesnt work and just use google maps. Dont rely on this.

Free it is, yet, its free from a real wisdom

which you can find in other apps like WAZE or TomTom. Be aware from loosing your valuable time on your next vacation in Italy.

Dont waste your time

Maps are poor to say the least. Missing much data. The POI function does not work at all and customer support is non responsive. In looking at their list of known problems that they are working on there are many that are several years old. You have to know an address to get it shown on a map and it does not recognize many addresses. It couldnt even map out where the colosseum is......worthless!!

NavFree Italy

I was surprised to learn that my IPhone and Ipad could both navigate w/o cellular or wifi links using a built-in GPS. Live and learn. Took a maiden trip with this app from Sigonella NAS in Sicily to Giarre and back, maybe 100 km. It worked great except it took me on narrow dirt roads for a portion of the trip so I reset the device to "easy" and that led me to satisfying results. It was very install initially, I guess the Pgm is large, but well worth the wait. I plan to upgrade ASAP.

Fast & precise. Loved IT!!

Easy and takes you all around bigger cities. Small and far away places have some problems, but worth to pay for.
