Navmii Offline GPS Italy App Reviews

We just used this app on a trip to Italy and it worked very well. We drove from Rome to Tuscany and back. Just remember your phone cant be in airplane mode (or else the GPS wont work), so turn off cellular data if youre visiting from overseas and need to avoid international data charges.

Great app. On my 2nd destination, I thought it messed up when the road ended at a set of stairs. In frustration I turned back. Later found out I had been at the rear of my hotel building in Assisi. Hotels in Italian cities sometime gave parking away from main building. Weve now used it for 5 destinations. All have been found. Like most GPS, I wish there was an entire restaurant and hotel travel guide in the POI. It was integrated Google Search, which is he bomb if you have WiFi or data service.

As insurance for my driving vacation in Italy, I had downloaded this app just in case my Garmin got lost or stolen. Well, guess what? My Garmin failed to work right from the outset, so I used this app for the whole trip. And it worked (almost) flawlessly, providing directions to even the most our-of-the-way locations. The only "complaint" that I have is the same one I have with ALL GPSs - they sometimes lead you on less than direct routes. In this case, the app inexplicably would try to take me off of highways whenever we approached a toll even though I had turned off the "avoid toll roads" preference. I got caught with that problem on my initial trip out of the airport but then just drove where I wanted to go on subsequent trips and the app properly adjusted the route as we went along.

I downloaded this to use in Italy while in airplane mode to keep from using my data. It does not work well in that capacity. It lags and isnt sure where the car is.

Just got back from italy this app worked pretty well. I did not rate 5 stars since one in awhile it wanted to take us off the main road and then back onto it. I also had a paper map to make sure I was headed. In the right direction. Could not have made it to destinations without the app. Having an exact address to type in is very helpful! I would use this app again if I ever go back to italy

Ive used quite a few ones but Im mostly satisfied with this. Works flawlessly on routes with internet connections.

Have used this in bologna and area with little trouble. We did not have Internet and it worked fine

Traveling in Italy with no data. Navmii has been great at finding small towns and following little roads. Does exactly what I wanted. very intuitive user interface.

And easy to use.

Used it on Tuscany vacation. Knows all places and builds pleasure routes.

It works offline and on airplane mode perfectly. I use it driving and walking around. It works great

Just used the free version during our two week road trip through Italy. It worked great for the most part. However, be mindful of the route found. In a few occasions, we were led down roads that are very narrow or with gates that prevented proceeding with the route. It also failed to find some addresses we tried to reach; but I got around the issue by finding the location on the map, dropping a pin and routing to that location. Despite issues, very thankful for the app.

dont bother, worser than google maps and even more, it is infested with ads, which occupy a part if the presious small screen size and it dont work offline. I wonder if they also guessed to insert full screen pop-up ads?

I have used this as a backup to a GPS when traveling in Italy. My next trip I intend to leave the GPS at home.
